Chaverim of Greater Washington is an emergency services organization comprised of a dedicated team of altruistic volunteers. Dispatchers and service members are standing by to help answer the needs of our community.

From weather emergencies to flat tires, jump starts to search and rescue —Chaverim is there for the needs of all, no matter how big or small. We have one goal: to make the community a better place to live. At a time of crisis, we help manage resources to augment the efforts of local public safety organizations and ensure that the specific needs and sensitivities of the Jewish community are addressed.

This model has proven to be an invaluable community resource in Jewish communities around the world. With their guidance — and the help of other professionals and many devoted local individuals — we have tailored the operation to fit the Greater Washington Jewish community’s needs.

Chaverim strives to have our hotline manned and responders available 24 hours a day, 6 days a week.
